KastKing introduces fishing rods specifically designed for the northwest and northern US tier fishing markets.
(For Immediate Release -- May 14, 2018 - Portland, Oregon) This week the New York headquartered fishing tackle manufacturer, KastKing (www.kastking.com)  introduced their series of KastKing Krome fishing rods. The ambitious KastKing Krome product launch took place in conjunction with the Association of Northwest Steelheaders annual event -Salmon Quest, which is a conservation effort by that group to return 100,000 adult spring chinook to the upper Willamette Basin each year. The Association of Northwest Steelheaders is a 58-year old organization that has worked on the recovery of that region's wild salmon and steelhead populations since their inception.
KastKing Krome rods were designed specifically for use by salmon and steelhead anglers for the techniques used to fish for those species. KastKing selected the name "Krome" as a reference to the nickname for steelhead trout that are often commonly referred to as referred to as "chrome".
KastKing STS (Species Tuned Series) Krome fishing rods were specially designed with the latest technology available in the fishing tackle industry. KastKing Krome rods feature Toray IM8 high carbon, 45 million modulus rod blanks, nano silica resins, and Kevlar. All of which were included to increase power and sensitivity and at the same time reduce weight. KastKing reinforced the Krome handle butt section all the way through the reel seat with Kevlar fabric to improve hook setting power and to provide additional durability and strength. KastKing Krome rods utilize world renowned Fuji K-Frame tangle-free guides with Alconite rings on both spinning and casting models, which are compatible with monofilament, fluorocarbon or braided fishing lines. They also use Fuji ACS & TVS reel seats.
"We developed these rods after my own years of personal experiences fishing for salmon and steelhead throughout the Northwest Pacific region," says Al Noraker, Director of Product Development at KastKing. "We realized that the Krome as a species specific rod would meet the demanding conditions found there. It was extremely well received by anglers during the Salmon Quest event; even more so once they heard the selling price. I've never felt more appreciated at an event!""
KastKing has initially produced fifteen technique specific models including four spinning and eleven casting rods in both one and two-piece designs. A fluorescent orange "Strike Tip" indicator is standard on both Hot Shot models and on the 10'6" & 12' Pro Troller models.
According to KastKing CEO Tate Cui, "We put a lot of engineering resources into the Krome STS rods. The result was well worth it. Krome rods fulfill our Affordable Innovation mission statement. We now have many new angling friends in Oregon, Washington and Alaska, and there will be many more happy anglers across the other northern states that hold steelhead and salmon. We look forward to working with them."
KastKing Krome Rods are available on line at Amazon.com/kastking with an online discounted selling price range of $149.98 to $169.98 depending on the size.
